Plot

• Exposition: Hannah Stern and her family are going to her grandparent's to celebrate the traditional Passover. When the family were all seated down to start eating dinner, Hannah doesn't like the roasted beef or anything. When it was time to give out wine into the Common Cup, Hannah was first to pour in her whole cup. Her grandfather thinks she was so generous, she was chosen to open the door for Prophet Elijah to come.   
• Conflict: However, when Hannah opens the door, Hannah gets wounded back to 1942. She doesn't see the numbers on apartment doors, she finds herself in another world! At first, Hannah was perplexed, and terrified. After a few days, she got used to her new name, Chaya, and her new environment. One day, during the celebration of Shmuel and Fayge's wedding, the German soldiers came to take the whole village, shetl, away to their "camp". All Jews were, then, cramped into small wagons, that made some of them sofficated and die. At the camp, their belongings were confiscated from them, forced to shower, wear raggedy clothes, shaved their hair, tattooed codes on their wrist, and were forced to live in a repetitive and hardworking (work to death) environment, until they were announced to leave. If you're not doing what you're assigned to do, slack off, or caught talking, you'll be sent to Lilith's Cave for rependant-- an oven like place, where they burn you. Life was HARD!!!!
• Climax: Chayah and new her friends got caught talking with her friends (Rivka, Shifre, and Esther) one day, by a fairly new guard. He needed 3 more people to fill up the "load" of people, until it was time to start burning. Unfortunately, her 3 friends were caught, leaving Chayah behind. She told Rivka that she would die for her, so she told Rivka to go to a midden pile and hide. Chayah and friends started going into the cave, with freight and tears. Then, Chayah starts to tell them a story about a girl named Hannah, living in New Rochelle, with her families, and everything. She courageously opened the gate door. Everything gone black....
• Denouement/Resolution: ...before you know it, Hannah was back to the apartment, holding the door, waiting for Prophet Elijah to come. Everybody was waiting for her, "well, Hannah, is he coming?" Grandpa Will asked. Luckily for Hannah, she was back home where she wished she could be.
• *Hannah later found out, her aunt Eva, was actually her best friend at the camp named, Rivka. Rivka's brother was Grandpa Will, who was Wolfe.
