Characters

• Hannah Stern: She has dark black hair and braces. She is a shy 12-year-old girl, who is also very stubborn. When she was suddenly back in the past, people knows her as Chaya Later, in the story, she faces a challenge of experiencing how it felt to lived during the Holocaust.
• Aunt Eva: She is only 10 years old, she has black hair and wears a kerchief on her head. Her real name was actually Rivka, but she had changed it to forget about the time she had suffered in the Concentration Camps. In the story, she plays as a helpful guardian to Hannah.
• Gitl: In the story, Gitl, also, is a caring guardian. She helps Hannah by telling her that she will always live another day.
• Shmuel: He is Gitl's older brother who is getting ready to marry to Fayge on that faithful night that the German soldiers were to snatch their whole schetl away to the miserable camp.
• Grandpa Will: He is a mean lunatic to what Hannah thinks he is. He had also changed his name from Wolfe to Will. He is always saying random things that he remembers from the camp.  

There are more characters that were not mentioned, because they were not important to Hannah, or affected her.
