Introduction

Hi, and welcome to my profile.

I'm doing a book report on The Devil's Arithmetic. If you were to go and find a book on Historical Fiction, I would greatly recommend this to you. Although, it is a very depressing and sad book, it always gives you suspense, an urge to keep on reading it. In the first few lines, I thought, this book like all historical books, is going to be boring. But as it turned out, I really enjoyed reading this! I love the part when she started opening the door, to another world, into the past.

This book is about a girl, Hannah, who travels back to the beginning of the Holocaust, 1942. She experiences the tragic deaths, and knows the horror that awaits. She must knows how to survive, or else she'll die.

Throughout the book, there is tons of humor, but it also brings tears to my eyes. I think this book is very well-written, and gives a vivid imagination to readers, no matter who you are.

I really like the "storyline" page. When I was in college, a colleague of mine wrote a screenplay that was very similar to this. There is a fascination with time travel, and the historical perspective. The combination of the two can be a powerful way to move a narrative and draw the reader in. You do a very good job explaining this story. Best of luck with your own literary career.
